Team Gold in Amsterdam

Some of Heide's work friends from Riverside California were in Amsterdam this weekend. It was absolutely wonderful to meet up with them and catch up on all the scoop from the US. It's amazing how much things change and how much they stay the same. Just a year ago, we were all working together in sunny Southern California and now these friends are all scattered throughout the States working on various projects and we're working for a completely different companies and living in a completely different country. Life is interesting.
We still struggle to know if we've made the right decision by picking up and moving over here. Seeing friends (or family) brings this to light even more. The opportunity to travel in Europe has been and continues to be great. We both know that when we are finally settled that we will look back on this time as some of the best times in our lives but it's not all sunshine and roses. Traveling gives a good taste of a place, but living in another country is really quite a challenging experience.
