What a productive weekend! We had dinner with our friend, Kari, on Friday night. She is one of Mark’s work colleagues from Paccar who is over in Eindhoven for a few months on temporary assignment. Anyhow, at dinner we decided that we would spend the weekend together. On Saturday we hung out and went to the Woernsel market and then to the cinema where we saw the new action film "XXX." (It's quite unlikely that you haven't at least heard of it... because movies are out about 8 months after the rest of the world here in the Netherlands!! But, if you haven't seen it, it's pretty good... basically a cross between James Bond and the X games!)

On Sunday we traveled down to Cologne, Germany. We packed our lunch and toured around the city and found a nice park to enjoy our picnic. We have to admit that it was a little cold!! The highlight of Cologne was the spectacular Dom Cathedral, which was incredibly ornate and gorgeous! Cologne was a good day trip and although we didn't "do" much we felt we had seen everything we wanted to see before heading home.
