Our First New City
Maastricht, The Netherlands

We still had the gratis rental car, so today we drove down to Maastrict in the Southern part of the Netherlands. Maastricht is a really beautiful city and in the middle of three countries. Belgium and Germany are both probably about 15 km in either direction from Maastricht. We wandered around town admiring the curvy streets and cobble stones and crossed over the river Maas. We sat in the main square at a street café and had drinks just watching the people walk by. It's a beautiful city with a wonderful European feel and we were glad we made the trip.

We’ve also had the opportunity to explore our "home town" of Eindhoven a bit more over the last few days. Lonely planet is pretty harsh is their description of Eindhoven, but we are fining that we kinda like it here. We took a wander the other day and came across PSV stadium. PSV is the local football (soccer) team… and we hope to be able to attend one of their games while we live in this city.
